Ability and Ability Crystals are not the same. Ability is something that granted to each individual equipment set by default, while Ability Crystal are crystals that are infused with abilities and can obtained by slaying a behemoth in expedition. Both Ability and Ability Crystals plays an important part as they further enhance your favourite equipment.

Ability Crystals have a variety of effects and can only be attached to armors (cannot be attached to Weapons) that you forged from tablets on the change ability screen in Forge. (You cannot attach ability crystals on event equipment). Ability Crystals each have it's own rarity (SS, S, A, B, C). The higher their rarity, the greater their effect. Ability Crystals cannot be attached to armor of lower rarity than the crystal itself. e.g. You can only attach a SS ranked ability crystal to a SS ranked equipment.
Ah! What if i want to change the ability crystal?
Fret not! You can overwrite the current ability crystal by attaching a new one :D
Oh oh! somethings to take note of..
You can have up to a maximum of 100 Ability Crystals and
Ability Crystals are not affected by drop increasing effects
How to get rid of the Crystals??
Simply click on "Sell multiple" on the ability screen!
